"You’re daring me WHAT?!"

"Sweetie, I’m sure you’ve thought about it," Lorne grinned.

"Very much NO." Cordelia said. "I’m so gonna kill you."

"First things first," Spike said.

Cordy glared at him. "Let’s get this over with." She closed her eyes, making no move to meet Spike halfway.

It was sweet and tender, not exactly what she expected. Cordy found herself letting him hold her close, hands against shoulders. She melted.

"Was that so bad?" Spike’s voice tickled her neck.

Cordy willed herself not to purr. "Awful," she murmured.

Lorne chuckled. "Honey, you lie about as well as you sing."
